THERAPY FOR MEN
It has never been more important for people to be taking good care of themselves. Often our physical health gets prioritised - we eat healthily, give up smoking, drink less, exercise more - whilst our emotional or psychological wellbeing gets neglected or forgotten about.

Taking care of yourself emotionally can mean many things, from resolving historical issues which may feel like 'just a part of who I am', exploring effective strategies for managing issues on a day to day basis, or making decisions for how things are going to be in the future.

Working with a therapist offers one route towards these areas of personal development.

BEING YOU
Beneath the media headlines, there can still be a gulf of difference in the expectations society makes of the different genders.

The subtle messages which men may get given on an almost daily basis range from the classic "boys don't cry", to being accused of having "man flu" or of being instructed to "man up" and "grow a pair".

I believe that the experience of 'being a man' means so much more than some of the stereotyped labels that get put upon us from time to time.

WHAT THERAPY CAN OFFER
Counselling and therapy can offer a valuable opportunity for you to understand, explore and resolve issues in your life. It is not about being told what to do, or having your problems solved for you, but by increasing your self-awareness you can use these insights to be active about making changes the required to make your life more satisfying and rewarding.
I offer a no-obligation initial meeting to all new clients within 7 days of enquiry, where possible.
